One Direction’s hit single ‘Little Things’ penned by ‘A Team’ hitmaker Ed Sheeran has been named in a Valentine’s Day list by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the ‘worst love songs of all time’.

Little Things joins ‘NSYNC’s (God Must Have Spent) A Little More Time On You, with both tracks being put in their “romantic cheddar bombs” list.

‘You’re Beautiful’ by James Blunt, ‘Lady In Red’ by Chris de Burgh and ‘Groovy Kind Of Love’ by Phil Collins were all named “schmaltzy sweetheart tunes”.

Elton John’s ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight’ has been branded a “cornball ballad” while Celine Dion’s ‘My Heart Will Go On’ is described as causing listeners “instant recognition followed by immediate terror”.
