Award-winning British-Iranian actor/comedian, Omid Djalili will be bringing his The Good Times Tour to screens with an exclusive global stream on the DRIIFT platform to coincide with Nowruz (Persian New Year) on 20th March. The special will then be available to watch on demand for a further four days.

The Good Times Tour saw Omid perform all over the world talking about his experiences during the pandemic, and was recorded in front of a sold-out live audience at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London. After experimenting with a Zoom gig where he got muted by 639 people and a drive-in gig where he witnessed an audience member get out his car, attach a hose pipe to his exhaust and feed it through the window, multi award-winning comedian and actor Omid Djalili found himself back where he belongs, on a stage and bringing back the Good Times.

Well-loved for his legendary stand-up shows, Omid’s performances are famed for their piercing wit – with routines that range from the provocative to the silly. Omid’s stand-up is always highly energetic, incredibly passionate and above all supremely entertaining.

A firm favourite at the Edinburgh Festival, Omid’s stand-up awards include the Time Out Award for Best Stand Up. He’s also been both a Perrier Award nominee and a winner of the Edinburgh Award Panel Prize. Omid was also awarded a Best Actor award at the Turin Film Festival for his lead performance in The Infidel. His credits range from Hollywood to television and the West End Stage with critically acclaimed performances as Fagin in Oliver! and Reb Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof.

Most recently, Omid starred in the award winning movie Journey To Bethlehem as one of the Wise Men and as Bridget Christie’s husband in the highly acclaimed series The Change on Channel 4. He also hosted two series of Winning Combination on ITV1.
