Blur has announced an exciting lineup of live shows for the summer, with the band’s first-ever performance at Colchester Arts Centre, a converted church and local landmark, on May 19, 2023.

This show marks the start of a short run of warm-up performances, including visits to Eastbourne Winter Gardens on May 21, The Halls Wolverhampton on May 26, and O2 City Hall Newcastle on May 28. These shows will lead up to two massive shows at London’s Wembley Stadium on July 8th and 9th.

Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, and Dave Rowntree, are all originally from Colchester, with Damon and Graham first meeting as teenagers at Stanway School. Graham later introduced Dave to Damon and bassist Alex James to form Blur, with the band’s first album ‘Leisure’ being released in 1991.
