Pop Scoop! joined a backstage press roundtable talk with Radio 1 DJ Greg James, on a brief break from his TV presenting duties at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend.

It was a return to home turf of sorts for him, as Greg is an alumnus of the University of East Anglia in Norwich, and whilst there learned/honed his craft on student & local radio. He spoke about being firmly #TeamTaylor, what a “Bad Blood” Radio 1 Squad would look like, the art of telling stories on radio, how the pop-cultural importance of Radio 1 is at an all-time high right now, and the significance of BBC live events for listeners & host cities.
