National treasures Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly received a world-famous Nickelodeon sliming as they accepted Nickelodeon’s first ever Kids’ Choice Award for UK TV Legends.

In a surprise visit at ITV Studios, Ant and Dec were awarded with a coveted orange blimp by Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards UK hosts, Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely. Viewers can see Ant and Dec getting slimed during the Awards Ceremony on Sunday 29th March from 5:00pm on Nickelodeon.

Nickelodeon created the UK TV Legends award especially for Ant and Dec in recognition of their outstanding contribution to entertainment and to celebrate Ant and Dec’s TV triumphs throughout their esteemed careers, Nickelodeon has honoured the presenters with its highest accolade – a sliming!

“Thanks to everyone at the Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards for honouring us with this blimp and the greatest privilege of all, a sliming!” Said Anthony McPartlin.

“We are blown away to receive this amazing TV Legends award” said Declan Donnelly. “But watch out Perri and Jordan, we’ll get you back for the sliming!”

This year’s Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards will take place at L.A.’s Forum this Saturday 28th March. Hosted by pop sensation Nick Jonas, Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards gives kids the power to honour their favourites from the worlds of film, music, sports and television with an iconic Nickelodeon blimp. Following performances from host Nick Jonas, hip-hop phenomenon Iggy Azalea will perform alongside Grammy-winner Jennifer Hudson. Aussie pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer will also take the stage at Saturday’s awards.

UK fans can watch Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards on Sunday 29th March from 5:00pm on Nickelodeon, as UK hosts Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely bring viewers the best of the behind the scenes gossip from the orange carpet. Fans can still vote for their favourites online at kca.nick.co.uk, on Twitter using the hashtag #KCA and through the Nick App.
