Following what was thought to be Sundown Festival’s final main stage line-up announcement last week, for this year’s season-ending event – which is expected to top 40,000 festivalites for the first time over the last weekend in August – organisers have dropped an extra surprise and revealed that Becky Hill is set to join the Sunday sets.

Becky entered the public’s consciousness competing in the first series of BBC One’s The Voice UK in 2012, joining Jessie J’s team and reaching the semi-finals, before going on to become the first The Voice UK contestant to score a #1 hit in the UK Singles Chart – last month – with her co-written vocal version of Gecko (Overdrive), alongside MNEK.

Becky landed a top ten UK Singles Chart hit with Wilkinson, providing the vocals on Afterglow, and has worked with Rudimental many times, performing the vocals on Powerless, as well as stepping in with vocal cover for Ella Eyre at several of their live shows last year.

Already boasting a line-up of Chase & Status, Tinie Tempah, Zane Lowe, Katy B, Foxes, Pusha T, All About She, Sasha Keeble and Virus Syndicate on the Saturday, with Ellie Goulding, John Newman, Clean Bandit, Neon Jungle, Ella Eyre, Jess Glynne, Intensi T, Hatty Keane and M.O on the Sunday, with the addition of the #IAMSUNDOWN aspiring artist competition winners Oliver Daldry and Riva to the Saturday and Sunday respectively, Becky completes the busy main stage schedule.

Elsewhere, #1 selling artist Second City, Copyright and Christoph join House specialists Defected Records as they host Sundown’s dance Stage 2 on the Saturday night, with DJs MK, Breach, Sam Divine and Shadow Child previously announced, while Loadstar, Frankee and Mind Vortex will join drum and bass label RAM Records’ takeover for the Sunday, with Andy C, Wilkinson, Calyx & Teebee and Delta Heavy previously confirmed.

Tickets for this year’s Sundown – which has grown from 15,000 people at the inaugural event in 2011, to 38,000 in 2013 – are already in short supply as demand has soared across the UK following a significant rise in profile.

Sundown Festival will take place at the Norfolk Showground from Friday 29 – Sunday 31 August. For tickets or more info, visit www.nationalboxoffice.co.uk, or call 0871 224 1113
