Of the track, Gina says: “I wrote ‘Prayer’ when my anxieties were at their peak; they were entirely arresting and almost broke me. Writing music and making art is how I deal with anything and everything, so I wrote this song as an ode to myself. It was a letter to my anxieties, finally confronting and fighting them. I know that a lot of people suffer from anxiety as I do, so I wanted to share a message that might help people believe that they can also fight their demons and realise their self worth.”

Produced by Saltwives (Zayn Malik, Bebe Rexha) the track is a raw and honest account of Gina’s experiences with anxiety, and the emotive lyrics are reflective of her artistry, where she continues to blur the lines between art and music.

Gina consistently challenges the “perfect pop” formula that she was encouraged to pursue throughout the start of her career – “I try and drive my sound myself as much as possible.”

Gina has spent the past few years working tirelessly with some of the most sought-after names in music, crafting hits for the likes of Sigala, Jonas Blue and Ray BLK, with whom she collaborated for VEVO LIFT.

Her main ambition, however, has always been to hone her own craft and to make her mark on the industry as a solo artist. Now, with a bank of piping hot solo material and world of fresh, innovative ideas, visually and sonically, Gina is ready for the world to know her name for more than just a writing credit.
