Multi-platinum recording artist, songwriter, producer, and philanthropist ZAYN releases his highly anticipated fifth studio album, KONNAKOL, via Mercury Records/Island Records UK.

KONNAKOL is ZAYN’s most culturally inspired project to date. While he has consistently drawn from South Asian vocal and rhythmic traditions throughout his music, those influences are brought into sharper focus here. The pop-forward album expands on the sound fans first heard on his record-breaking debut studio album, Mind of Mine. The album is co-produced by ZAYN alongside Malay (Frank Ocean, Lorde), who he previously worked with on Mind of Mine and Icarus Falls. The snow leopard featured on the album artwork symbolises how deeply his heritage has inspired the record.

The 15-track album is preceded by lead single “Die For Me” and “Sideways,” an atmospheric pop R&B track driven by ZAYN’s signature falsetto. Opening track “Nusrat,” an ode to Pakistani musician Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, serves as the creative anchor of KONNAKOL, setting the tone for its vocal experimentation and sonic direction. The latest single “Side Effects” leans into sleek, radio-ready pop R&B, while “Fatal” introduces a more dance-driven energy designed for the live stage. “Breathe” offers a softer, atmospheric moment of release.

In support of the release, ZAYN will appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on 21 April, followed by The Drew Barrymore Show on 23 April. He also kicked off album release week appearing on the cover of ELLE India, highlighting the global cultural influence behind the album.

ZAYN will embark on his largest solo tour to date, The KONNAKOL Tour, beginning on 12 May 2026 in Manchester, UK. The tour will span major cities across the globe before concluding on 20 November in Miami, FL. Earlier this year, ZAYN wrapped his first-ever Las Vegas residency, where he debuted unreleased material from KONNAKOL.

The album follows 2024’s critically acclaimed Room Under the Stairs, alongside his first solo tour across the US, UK and Mexico. He also recently collaborated with BLACKPINK’s Jisoo on “Eyes Closed,” which earned a 2026 iHeartRadio Music Award nomination and achieved strong global chart success.
