Dutch-born singer/songwriter Eyelar releases her new single and lyric video ‘Say It with Your Eyes’ – listen below:

Unlike her previous single ‘Couple Hours’ that treasures a slower acoustic approach, ‘Say It with Your Eyes’ builds on from the grungy electro-pop style that she has given us thus far. It embraces the energy of a classic, feel-good summer pop banger and is filled with poignant & momentous lyrics, that demand answers and deeper emotional connection. The track is co-written by David Steward and Jessica Agombar (Jonas Brothers/Griff). Eyelar says of the track: “Looking in someone’s eyes is one of the most intimate ways to connect to someone. For me it can be more intimate than a touch, or a kiss because when you look in someone’s eyes, you’re looking at the truth. It’s a truth that says more than words. When I say ‘say it with your eyes’ it’s because I want you to tell me you love me, not with your words, but with your eyes. Make me believe it.”

Originating from The Netherlands, Eyelar comes as a well-established songwriter whose catalogue boasts the likes of Charli XCX and Bastille. Amongst her plethora of writing credits is the emotional comeback song ‘Anyone’ for Demi Lovato, which she performed at Grammy Awards.

Now London-based, Eyelar spent the first couple years sharpening her pen and collaborating with pop and alternative artists. She has worked with the likes of Fred Gibson AKA Fred Again (George Ezra/Ed Sheeran/Headie One) and Matt Schwartz (Yungblud/Halsey). Eyelar was also due to play her sold-out first headline show at London’s Waiting Room on 25th March, but this has now been postponed. Due to popular demand, the venue has been upgraded to Camden Assembly on 10th September.
