Last night, Monday 12th December, Years and Years got together with a host of famous friends to entertain a sold out Union Chapel in Islington to raise money for the housing and homelessness charity Shelter.

The band, who were supported by British up-and-coming indie act Blossoms, were joined onstage by global superstar Mel C of the Spice Girls for renditions of her hit single ‘When You’re Gone’ and the Spice Girls Christmas Number One ‘2 Become 1’. Alongside Mel C the band were accompanied by British soul singer Kwabs, Ellie Roswell from the band Wolf Alice and singer-songwriter Rae Morris – performing a selection of covers and stripped back versions of a number of their hit singles.

Shelter’s Chief Executive Campbell Robb introduced the night which managed to raise over £30,000 in support of Shelter’s Christmas Appeal, which he explained will go towards helping the estimated 120,000 children who will wake up homeless this Christmas Day.
