Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ Chasing Yesterday is the current album to beat from 2015, according to data released by Amazon.co.uk.

The album is the website’s biggest success since January, outselling competition from Bob Dylan’s Shadows in the Night and Madonna’s recently launched Rebel Heart.

The sales snapshot for the year’s artist releases so far also sees the BRIT Awards’ Critics’ Choice James Bay make the top 10 with Chaos and the Calm – despite his debut album only being released last month.

“From Madonna through to Led Zeppelin, 2015 has already seen some high profile album launches,” comments Steve Bernstein, Director of Amazon EU Digital Music. “With the likes of Blur, Muse and Mumford and Sons set to release albums in the coming months we’re heading into a great summer for music lovers, competition for 2015’s biggest album is only set to intensify.”

Amazon’s biggest-selling album of 2014 was Ed Sheeran’s X. This year’s top-selling albums so far are listed below:
