Manchester four-piece Red Sky Noise recently dropped their debut single ‘Only You (Darkness Inside)’ while their video has quickly amassing over 10k views on Youtube. Take a listen below.

Formed by one half, and ex-founder members of hotly tipped ‘Citizen’ – Red Sky Noise have obviously taken a lot of influence from Jazz, Soul and the Blues as well as obviously Electronic Dance music.

Armed to the teeth in meltingly soulful vocals produced by lead female vocalist Mica Millar reminiscent of R&B artists Lauryn Hill and Mary J. Blige ilk that leave you with a tingle in your head and a lump in the throat. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a down-tempo version of this lurking around somewhere.

There is contemporary use of trumpet in the chorus of ‘Only You’ which serves to break up the song well, adding to the consistent soulful flavour felt throughout the single.

The band have caught much attention, with praise on BBC Radio 1Xtra and ‘Only You’ being made the BBC Introducing Single of the Week and it’s easy to see why.

‘Only You’ is a classic song with stomping vibes that will undoubtedly become an anthem for the summer.
