MTV today have announced chart topping British band, Kaiser Chiefs, as the first act for what is sure to be Britain’s Ocean City’s gig of the year!

After 10,000 tickets were snapped up by Plymouth residents, due to overwhelming public demand, 5,000 more tickets went on national release on Friday 9th May which provided music fans another unique opportunity to see massive names in music play a one off gig on Plymouth Hoe, when MTV Crashes Plymouth this Summer.

Following the success of their number one album, “Education, Education, Education & War”, the Brit Award winning Kaiser Chiefs are heading South for MTV Crashes Plymouth, on Tuesday July 15th as part of a series of events to celebrate the city’s ‘Three Towns’ centenary. This will be a unique opportunity to see the British band play on Devon’s picturesque coast line.

The event will be broadcast on MTV’s flagship UK music TV channels MTV Music and MTV Live HD and subsequently across its other music channels, showcasing Britain’s Ocean City in over 35 countries. As well as live coverage of the performances, MTV will be screening interviews with the acts, filmed in various Plymouth locations.

Further acts will be added to this already appealing line up promising an event to rival any other.
