Whilst impressing audiences up and down the country on the McBusted arena tour, EofE have announced they are to release their debut single ‘Lust’ on 26th May.

Each night on tour the band have been closing their powerful set with the anthemic rock pop track, which has instantly become a crowd favourite. ‘Lust’ was recorded over a few months at Magic Garden Studio, Wolverhampton, and produced by Gavin Monaghan (Editors, Twang, Paolo Nutini, Robert Plant).

“It’s kind of an antidote to love songs” lead singer Tom Harris, 17, explains “a couple of songs we have written discuss love and failed attempts at love – ‘Kiss Me Like You Mean It’ and ‘Piece of You’ – so we thought, you know what, lets just make it about Lust!”

The video’s scene is set at a haunted underground bunker in their native Black Country. Guitarist Dan Bremner, 19, continued;

“We wanted to make a humourous video about being lustful! We thought what better way than us being Vampires, but then our Director turned it around so that we were the hunted. The video itself was filmed in an underground bunker, beneath Kinver in the West Midlands. No Phone signal, very little light, cold, damp and eerie. It has actually been used as a WW2 factory, nuclear bunker and for NATO tests. Whilst filming we did hear REALLY strange noises – it was great, but there was a lot of nervous laughter! Its not all acting you see in the video.”

The single is to be released amidst the end of the McBusted tour, which sees the band play to over 380,000 fans across 32 UK dates. Having only formed last year, EofE, completed by bassist Luke Bradley (18) and drummer Nicky Waters (25), couldn’t believe their luck after being picked for the run of dates.

Nicky concluded, “We feel very lucky to have been given the opportunity to support them. Their show is phenomenal and they’re really lovely lads. The first couple of nights were a bit scary as these are by far the biggest shows we’ve ever played, but their fans are incredible and have been giving us a really warm welcome each night.”
