We have reached mid-September, and the summer festival season is well and truly over. It has been an incredible line-up of artists touring stages both big and small. From Blossoms saying ‘Goodbye Gary’ when headlining Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington, to the Kooks bringing out Cruz Beckham at Rock N Roll Circus to some incredible surprise sets at Reading and Leeds Festival – this summer has been memorable… but what now?

As we come into autumn, this is one of the most exciting seasons for music. It is an opportunity to make summer 2027 plans, see some of those names you discovered on the smaller stages again, and enjoy your favourite bands on tour.

September has already started with some big announcements: Fontaines DC a 2026 winter tour and then a run of summer outdoor shows in 2027 – both almost immediately sold out. Harry Styles also confirmed an array of 2027 international shows alongside some dates in Wembley (general sale 17th September); these shows are like no other and are not to be missed. Finally, spoiler after spoiler Oasis have confirmed 2027 dates for next summer. Now, the Ticketmaster war in 2024 was brutal. To ensure the real fans get the tickets, everyone must preregister and sign up to be with a chance of purchasing tickets.

Fletchr Fletchr are hitting the road throughout September and October on their own shows and supporting Overpass on their European dates. This band performs with passion exploring themes of love, loss, anxiety and longing but with a hopeful upbeat feeling. With popular demand they have recently added an extra date for the tour in Leeds.

In October, The Lilacs are performing a stripped back record store tour promoting their up-and-coming album. As a band they absolutely smashed the festival circuit this summer, even getting promoted to mainstage at YNOT. They have already released singles off the album, if this is anything to go by then the rest of the album will be epic.

One of the most exciting tours is Arkayla with Cherryholt, The North or Raynor supporting. Arkayla is a band with big dreams, clever lyrics and a song for every mood. Arkayla were very successful over the summer season with mainstage appearances with their witty new EP about a snake. The autumn tour is nearly sold out, and I can’t wait to catch them play. Whichever date you can get your hands on you must get down early to see the support acts.

Gaining popularity through social media and playing festivals is the band The Publics who are going on their biggest headline tour this December. They are fun, with punchy lyrics, great dance moves and genuinely get the crowd involved to have the best time. If you missed out on tickets for Blossoms in November, The Publics are playing the same dates, so this is a perfect alternative to discover something new and experience a brilliant gig.

2026 has seen the rise of Nieve Ella with her new song ‘Romance is a dessert’ and following this she is finally releasing her debut album alongside a tour. In an industry dominated by men, it is so refreshing to have some girl power hitting the scene. Nieve Ella surprised Reading Festival crowd by being a special guest for Overpass featuring on the song ‘Fall in Love’ and I would not be surprised if it caused many people to fall in love with her and buy tickets for the tour.

The Courteeners anniversary ‘God Bless the Band’ tour, with support from The Lathums and The Guestlist should be on everyone’s list to go to see. It seems to be the year that bands are celebrating their catalogue of discography. This is the perfect lineup for the tour with both The Lathums and The Guestlist releasing new music this year. These shows will be a melange of old and new songs which will without a doubt please the crowds.

Therefore, it is obvious that the best way to beat the festival blues is to get your next gig booked; whether it is planning for Oasis or discovering The Publics, live music is the cure.
