Following a landmark 2026 edition that welcomed a sold-out crowd of 80,000, Creamfields is already looking ahead to 2027 – and it’s kicking off its 30th anniversary celebrations with a huge first headliner announcement.
The Prodigy will headline the APEX stage on Saturday 28 August 2027, returning to Creamfields for the first time in 14 years.
The legendary electronic pioneers will bring their explosive live show to one of the world’s biggest indoor festival stages as Creamfields celebrates three decades at the forefront of global electronic music.
For more than 35 years, Liam Howlett and Maxim, alongside long-standing live members Leo Crabtree on drums and Rob Holliday on guitar, have taken The Prodigy’s incendiary live performances around the world. Their shows combine huge production, retina-blasting visuals and soul-shaking bass with the raw energy that has made them one of the most influential acts in electronic music.
Emerging from Britain’s underground rave scene, The Prodigy helped redefine the boundaries between rave, electronic music and punk. Their catalogue includes era-defining anthems such as ‘Firestarter’, ‘Breathe’ and ‘Out of Space’, while their multi-platinum album The Fat of the Land remains one of the defining records of its generation.
The 2027 festival will also coincide with the 30th anniversary of The Fat of the Land, making The Prodigy’s return particularly significant as Creamfields celebrates its own 30-year legacy.
The band last played Creamfields in 2013. Fourteen years later, they return to unleash their legendary live show on the APEX stage – promising one of the standout performances of the festival’s landmark anniversary weekend.
Since launching in 1998, Creamfields has grown from its beginnings in Winchester into a global electronic music powerhouse, attracting generations of dance music fans and some of the biggest names in electronic music.
Its 30th anniversary celebration will look back at the artists, fans and unforgettable moments that have shaped Creamfields over three decades, while continuing to push electronic music into its next chapter.
With The Prodigy confirmed as the first headliner, the countdown to 30 years of Creamfields has officially begun.
