Meeting the band, Sally dives into a lovely chat about festival ambitions, secret musical talents, favourite items of clothing and the latest EP. Watch the full interview on YouTube.

How did you find your first time playing in Norwich?
‘It was amazing. A really really good set. First time here and I think we all loved it. Lots and lots of fun! We wish we had more than half an hour though’
The 30 minutes slots are always a killer… it always seems to go too quickly…

Next question, you released new music yesterday, how is that going?
‘Yeah, I mean its been pretty good. We have been sitting on it for like two years so we are all really excited for it to come out.’

What is the writing process like?
‘It’s teamwork.’
‘We bring it to the band and then it becomes what is it because of the band’
‘It’s super super collaborative. It would not exist if all of us weren’t doing it together’
Absolutely. So, I did notice you had a wide range of instruments, what other instruments would you like to add into the band?
‘Oh you’re the saxophone. Our little secret weapon.’
‘George secretly revealed his plays the trumpet the other day which we didn’t know’
…
‘I’d love to add some keys and some synths’
‘I just think it’s a really nice thing to add some extra elements to your sound to tie some things together to make things sound really cool’
Returning to the festival theme, is there a dream festival?
‘Glastonbury.’
‘It’s been one of the main goals. We’ve entered competitions every year’
‘…And of course Reading and Leeds.’
…
If someone has never watched or heard of your band, how would you sell your band? Why do we need to listen to Fletchr Fletchr?
‘Three words’ ‘Big songs, big vibes and lots of fun’
Listening to your set earlier, your songs are quite deep and with a point to them…
‘All these sad topics and it makes the audience think that oh yeah, these guys have been through some stuff and I feel safe and happy at these gigs’
Absolutely! Thank you so much for your time, looking forward to seeing you when you return to Norwich in October.
