Music history is coming to the big screen this year. George Michael Entertainment, in partnership with Mercury Studios, has announced the worldwide theatrical release of a brand-new, never-before-seen film titled George Michael: The Faith Tour.

Filmed at the iconic Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy during the 1988 European leg of the tour, this production captures a pivotal moment. It shows the transformation of George Michael from a global superstar into the era-defining artist whose influence still shapes music and fashion today.
A Lost Treasure Restored
Longtime collaborators Andy Morahan and David Austin directed this once-lost film. It has been meticulously restored and remastered to reveal George’s original vision with incredible clarity. Assembled from a 14-camera shoot on 35mm film, the result is an explosive glimpse of an artist in complete command of his craft.

The Full Experience
The theatrical event opens with Finding Faith, an original short film by Mary McCartney. This introduction provides cultural context through a cinematic lens, featuring a voiceover from an unheard interview and unseen images by legendary photographer Herb Ritts.
New Music for the Collection
To coincide with the film, George Michael Entertainment and Sony Music Entertainment will release THE FAITH TOUR live album. This 18-track collection features previously unreleased recordings of hits from both Wham! and his solo career. It is a powerful showcase of the vocal talent that led Faith to win the GRAMMY® for Album of the Year and sell over 25 million copies worldwide.
George Michael: The Faith Tour will be released in theatres later this year. Keep your eyes on Pop Scoop for the announcement of specific release dates and territories.
