Rock in Rio Lisbon unveils the full Rock Day lineup for 21 June 2026, bringing together global icons, groundbreaking newcomers and influential Portuguese acts for one of the most powerful and wide-ranging rock celebrations in the festival’s history. Across the World Stage, Music Valley Stage and the Super Bock Stage, the day spans rap-rock, alternative rock, metal, punk, and 2000s nu-metal nostalgia, uniting generations of fans in the City of Rock.

On the World Stage, previously announced headliners Linkin Park lead a bill built around intensity and evolution. Joining them are Cypress Hill, global pioneers of rap-rock and hip-hop with over 30 years of cultural impact. Known for merging the rebellious spirit of rock with the urban energy of hip-hop, the group bring a catalogue that includes era-defining tracks like ‘Insane in the Brain’, ‘Rock Superstar’ and ‘Hits from the Bong’. Their long career includes best-selling albums such as Black Sunday and landmark collaborations that cemented their place as one of the most influential names in urban music.
The Pretty Reckless also take the World Stage, marking their first-ever performance in Portugal. Led by Taylor Momsen, the band have risen as one of the dominant forces in modern hard rock, with a path shaped by major releases such as Light Me Up, Going to Hell and the acclaimed Death by Rock and Roll. Known for their intense sound and powerful aesthetic, they bring a dynamic presence that adds a new dimension to the day’s lineup. Opening the main stage is grandson, a leading new voice of modern alternative music. His work is known for its emotional intensity and social themes, and his most recent album INERTIA reflects a maturing artistic identity. Having collaborated onstage with Linkin Park, his performance sets the tone for a day designed around energy, grit and modern attitudes.
Over of the Music Valley Stage are two international heavyweights. Sepultura return to Portugal during their Farewell Tour, marking more than 40 years of groundbreaking contributions to metal. With landmark albums including Beneath the Remains, Chaos A.D. and Roots, they remain one of the most influential metal bands ever to emerge from Brazil. Alongside them is P.O.D. who bring their explosive fusion of hard rock and hip-hop, shaped by multiplatinum albums such as Satellite and hits like ‘Alive’, ‘Youth of the Nation’ and ‘Boom’. Their energetic live presence and messages of unity promise one of the most uplifting shows of the day.
On the Super Bock Stage, Kaiser Chiefs headline with their More Employment tour, celebrating 20 years of a career that helped shape the sound of 2000s British rock. Their collection of hits, from ‘Ruby’ to ‘I Predict a Riot’, continues to resonate across generations. They are joined by Hoobastank, returning to Portugal fourteen years after their last appearance with a dose of 2000s nostalgia. Their catalogue includes global favourites such as ‘Crawling in the Dark’, ‘Running Away’ and the massive ‘The Reason’, a song that remains one of the most streamed rock tracks of the 2000s and continues to attract new audiences through its enduring cultural presence.
Adding a distinctly Portuguese creative force, Blasted Mechanism bring their futuristic aesthetic, bold visuals and fusion of rock, electronic elements and traditional influences. Tara Perdida join the lineup as one of the most emblematic Portuguese punk rock bands, celebrating 30 years of influence and a legacy built on attitude and resistance.
Together, these artists create a Rock Day that spans eras, cultures and styles, celebrating the evolution of rock and its deep connection with fans in Portugal and around the world. On 21 June 2026, Rock in Rio Lisbon delivers one of its most ambitious and diverse rock lineups to date.
