British music icons The Streets are taking their legendary album A Grand Don’t Come For Free on the road for the first time ever. Mike Skinner and his band will perform the record in full across a limited run of UK shows in 2026.
The newly announced tour will see The Streets headline major venues and festivals, including stops in Margate, Bristol, Manchester, London, Ludlow, Leeds, Essex, and a special headline slot at Norwich’s Rock N Roll Circus on Friday 21 August 2026.
The announcement follows the huge success of Rock N Roll Circus’ debut edition in summer 2025, which saw McFly, Courteeners, and Olly Murs perform to thousands at Earlham Park.
Festival Director Ali O’Reilly said:
“The atmosphere in Norwich last year was electric. People made it clear they wanted the circus back, and we knew we had to deliver something special. Announcing The Streets as our first 2026 headliner is really exciting — seeing A Grand Don’t Come For Free performed in full under the big top will be unforgettable.”
Originally released in 2004, A Grand Don’t Come For Free became one of the most defining British albums of its era — debuting at Number One, going multi-platinum, and spawning hits like Dry Your Eyes, Fit But You Know It, and Blinded By The Lights.
Speaking about the live shows, Mike Skinner said:
“A Grand Don’t Come For Free was a moment in time — for me and for everyone who grew up with it. I wrote it as a story from beginning to end, studying screenwriting to shape it, without the faintest idea how people would react. Some tracks have never been played live, others haven’t surfaced in years. It’s a new challenge to bring the whole journey to life on stage — but with the band we have now, I’m certain we’ll find out what happened to that thousand quid a party every night.”
The tour marks the first time fans will experience the full album performed live — a cinematic journey through love, loss, chaos, heartbreak, and hope, delivered with Skinner’s trademark honesty and wit.
2025 has already been a prolific year for Skinner, with his debut feature film The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light released on YouTube, new music including Utopia, and major collaborations such as John Lewis’ centenary campaign and the title track for Amazon’s Birmingham City documentary.
Rock N Roll Circus promises an immersive festival experience that blends live music, circus performance, workshops, street food, and a big top setup that guarantees shows go ahead — rain or shine.
More headline and line-up announcements will follow in the coming months.
