Multi-platinum selling quintet OneRepublic have today unveiled “Truth To Power,” taken from the new movie ‘An Inconvenient Sequel’ — starring American politician and environmentalist Al Gore.

‘An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power’ follows former United States Vice President Al Gore’s continuing mission to battle climate change. The documentary follows 2006’s ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ and addresses the progress and Gore’s global efforts to persuade governmental leaders to invest in renewable energy. View the trailer here.

‘Truth To Power’ becomes OneRepublic’s third release since ‘No Vacancy’ – the single that has changed the way the Grammy-nominated quintet will release future music. In an open letter to fans, frontman Ryan Tedder explained: “I had the idea even before our last album of releasing ‘songs’… when we want, as often as we want, however we want. Not albums, songs. It’s always frustrated me that by the time u get to a 3rd, 4th or 5th single off an album that song may have been produced 2-3 years ago…and sounds dated. What if 3 months into an album you write a song that feels relevant NOW?? Albums aren’t built to flexible or get out of their own way. So here’s what we’re gonna do…we will be dropping new music as often as humanly possible… monthly, weekly sometimes, and it will be VARIED and with collaborations and may feel bonkers at first. Some will be remixes others will be just me on piano or guitar. Some will sound super trendy and new, some will sound classic and old school or very ‘One Republic’.”

The group’s last release, a remix of ‘Oh My My’ album track “Lift Me Up,” recently reached #1 on the HypeMachine chart.

OneRepublic headline the 2017 Honda Civic Tour in North America this summer, with Fitz & the Tantrums and James Arthur opening. More information on tour dates and tickets can be found at www.onerepublic.com.

OneRepublic, which is Tedder, guitarist Zach Filkins, drummer Eddie Fisher, guitarist Drew Brown, and bassist Brent Kutzle, released their debut album Dreaming Out Loud in 2007. The album included the smash single “Apologize,” which shattered digital sales and airplay records worldwide and received a Grammy nomination. The band’s second album, 2009’s Waking Up, produced three singles: “All the Right Moves,” “Secrets,” and “Good Life.” Tedder is also a Grammy-winning songwriter and producer who has worked with such artists as Taylor Swift, Adele, Beyoncé, U2, Ellie Goulding, Maroon 5, and many others.
