Black artists in the U.K. have always been marginalized. Stormzy infiltrated, and now he wants his fans to do the same. “It’s very simple,” Stormzy says. “We need more slow-motion cutaways. And I need eight black kids.”

Stormzy discusses growing up supported by a single immigrant mother, his recent experience with police discrimination in his own home, and how he is “infiltrating” the British music scene and empowering the next generation of young black artists.
