As the September 25th date of his new solo album ‘Right Here’ approaches, Shane Filan can now announce details of his new song ‘I Could Be’ which is a duet with fellow Irish star Nadine Coyle.

Between their time with Westlife and Girls Aloud, Shane and Nadine already have a hugely successful back catalogue that encompasses a total of 19 #1 singles and a further 28 Top 10 hits.

A duet that highlights the soaring vocals of Shane and Nadine, ‘I Could Be’ features an immediately memorable pop hook which is completed with an undercurrent of Irish folk and lyrics which offer contrasting outlooks from within a relationship. Co-written by Shane, the track was produced by Ivor Novello winner Cutfather with his collaborator Kay.

“I’m really happy Nadine is my duet partner for I Could Be,” says Shane.  “I’ve always been a big fan of her voice and I’m really looking forward to the fans hearing it and performing it together.”

“I’m a huge fan of Shane’s and used to love listening to his songs growing up,” adds Nadine. “I love the track we’ve done together and I’m delighted to be part of his new album. I can’t wait for us to perform it live!”

After 44 million sales as part of pop phenomenon Westlife, singer-songwriter Shane Filan commences a new deal with East West Records / Warners with the release of ‘Right Here’.

Filan dedicated himself to a huge writing process in which he co-wrote almost fifty songs, the best of which make up two-thirds of ‘Right Here’. The remaining tracks were chosen from approximately 200 submissions that he’d shortlisted from other writers. It was a lengthy process, but one which was necessary to ensure that he would fulfil his mission statement: to deliver a collection of ten brilliant contemporary pop songs.

The desire to pursue compelling pop is particular evident in the album’s introductory track ‘Me and the Moon’ which updates the special blend of strong melodies, dramatic dynamics and soaring vocals that typified many of Filan’sfinest moments with Westlife.

Pre-orders for ‘Right Here’ are now live at iTunes and Amazon, with the latter also taking pre-orders for an exclusive signed edition of the album. ‘Me and the Moon’ is available as an instant grat track.
