Following the success of their latest TV advert, Dreams, the UK’s leading bed specialist, has announced plans to conquer the UK singles charts with the release of their debut track, a cover version of “Everything Changes” by Take That.

The TV advert, which follows a young couple through the first few years of their relationship as they settle down and start to raise a family, features an exclusive version of the song recorded especially for Dreams.  The one minute ad shows a couple’s life over 8 years – everything from getting married to having a baby and illustrates how everything changes; except their mattress.

Lisa Bond, marketing director at Dreams, said, “We’re extremely pleased to see how popular this version of the Take That song has become and after being inundated with requests, we’ve decided to take the unprecedented step of releasing the track as a single.”

The Dreams single – an industry first in the UK – is available to download exclusively from iTunes here.  Music from adverts can have a powerful effect on new and existing artists, many of whom have been propelled to fame following a popular advertising campaign.

The Take That song was chosen to reinforce the message that customers should change their mattress every eight years to ensure a great night’s sleep and was produced by Manchester-based film composer and record producer Richard Bodgers with permission from Gary Barlow.

Lisa Bond added, “When selecting the track for the advert, we wanted something based on the theme of change, and Take That’s Everything Changes was top of our list. We are delighted with how our version of this classic song has been received by the public.”

The Dreams version of Everything Changes is available to download here from iTunes for 79p.
