The former X Factor and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here star is set to release his debut EP ‘I Want You’ on iTunes worldwide on 9 August.

The four-track EP features four original songs co-written by Jake Quickenden, including the disco-infused summer pop anthem ‘I Want You’ and sultry atmospheric R&B sizzler ‘Obsession’. In less than 24 hours, the ‘I Want You’ EP has raced to the Top 5 of the UK iTunes Pre-Orders chart.

The 26-year-old heartthrob from Scunthorpe is a self-confessed career chameleon, having abandoned previous lives as a lifeguard and semi-pro footballer to follow his dream of being a pop star. Jake was born with music in his soul and despite his ever-growing CV, music has always remained his first love. With the help and support of the British public, Jake has gone from strength-to-strength and shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon.

Jake says:
“What I love the most is that throughout the last two years it has been the public who have fuelled a career for me. They voted on the X Factor and they voted for me on I’m a Celebrity. Now they are still in my corner. They’ve enabled me to live the dream, to make those promises I made to those important people in my life come true and I am so grateful. I’ve had near to one hundred jobs, sacked from most, but the love has always been music. From McDonalds, to footballer and then lifeguard, I’ve never neglected my first love. This is my chance to show people the artist that I want to be, the music is on my terms.”
