MTV today announced that the most stylish man about town, Tinie Tempah, will be heading up the stage at day one of this year’s MTV Crashes Plymouth on July 22nd and will be joined by pop music heavyweight, Jess Glynne!

After the success of last year’s Crashes, which saw Kaiser Chiefs, Example, The 1975 and Kiesza whip a crowd of over 20,000 into a pop-frenzy on the sun-drenched Hoe, MTV are back with a double hit of live music from two of the biggest pop stars in the UK. The second night of hit performances, MTV Crashes, Day Two, will feature an amazing soon to be announced top DJ line-up as part of the new, all powerful and exciting Club MTV show, to close the events with a roof raising finale!

BRIT Award, MOBO and Ivor Novello winner, Tinie Tempah, had a Number One with his debut album, Discovery and won BRIT Awards for Best British Breakthrough Act and Best British Single. He has since had two Top Ten singles in the UK charts after the release of his second album, Demonstration. Most recently, he has joined MTV’s Staying Alive Foundation as ambassador, joining their global fight against HIV. Find out more about the foundation here.

Tinie Tempah said: “MTV Crashes Plymouth is going to be awesome, it’s so beautiful down there, I can’t wait to get out there and perform by the sea this summertime. It’s going to be a great show!”

Jess Glynne has had Number Ones with Clean Bandit’s, Rather Be and Route 94’s, My Love,  ahead of her own with Hold My Hand, which saw her hold the top spot for three weeks. Her debut solo single, Right Here, reached the Top Ten and her first album is expected later this year.

Jess Glynne said: “I’m so happy to be announced for MTV Crashes Plymouth with Tinie Tempah! This is a really exciting year for me with my album coming out later in the year and the summer is going to be mental, MTV Plymouth, let’s do it!”
