James Arthur and Rymez have unveiled the video for their single ‘Kryptonite’. The track premiered on DJ Target’s 1Xtra show on Friday and follows Rymez’ sampler ‘Love Is Real’ which was 1Xtra’s ‘Song of the Week’ and Capital Radio’s ‘Future Banger’.

Rymez is responsible for the production on platinum-selling single ‘Heatwave’, which gave Wiley his first solo Number One, and Gold-selling track ‘Can You Hear Me (Ayayaya)’, which gave JME and Skepta their first Top 5 hit.

The producer said: “I had been wanting to work with James for a while due to his unique voice and his style. For me as an artist and producer I have wanted to show my spectrum of music and how diversified my production is.”

Arthur explained: “Having heard and loved Rymez’ work and hearing how diverse he can be, I was excited to get a chance to work together.”

James Arthur, who now has an impressive 100 million YouTube views and over half a million album sales under his belt, has been touring the globe for the past twelve months to sell-out audiences. His debut album ‘James Arthur’ reached Number Two in the UK album charts and his debut single ‘Impossible’ reached Number One in 34 countries, selling over 2.5 million units.

‘Kryptonite’ smashes pure rock ’n’ roll grit head-first into the deep grime of underground hip-hop, with rock guitar ripping through the middle. James’ empowered vocals speak of a journey between both his and Rymez’ influences, tripping from genre to genre with confidence to create something as raw as it is original.

Whilst compiling his solo releases Rymez has been locked in the studio with the likes of Conor Maynard, Komi (Producer of LaLaLa), plus many more. ‘Kryptonite’ is the first track from his upcoming EP ‘The Love Story’.
